Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the technological infrastructure platform provided by BarrelProof Labs. By accessing the public website or using the authenticated platform, you (the "User" or "Entity") agree to the following terms.

1. Definitions

  • Platform: The SaaS infrastructure and analytical tools provided by BarrelProof Labs.
  • MiCA: Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on Markets in Crypto-Assets.
  • CASP: Crypto-Asset Service Provider as defined in Article 3(1)(15) MiCA.
  • Technical Readiness: Algorithmic assessment of an entity's technological capability to interact with supervisory data frameworks.
  • Technical Evidence: Structured data, hashes, and reconciliation records generated by the platform.

2. Scope of Services

BarrelProof Labs provides exclusively technical middleware infrastructure for operational data analysis, including:

  • Technical Reconciliation (Proof of Reserves): Automated verification between on-chain balances and off-chain reserve records.
  • Reporting Structuring: Transformation of operational data into iXBRL and JSON formats aligned with ISO 20022.
  • Taxonomy Analysis: Technical verification of White Papers against the MiCA 2025 taxonomy.

3. Non-Custodial and Non-Advisory Disclaimer

BarrelProof Labs is not a CASP nor an authorised financial institution.

  • No Custody: The platform never holds, controls, stores, or transmits private keys or asset access credentials.
  • No Advisory: Outputs are objective technical data and do not constitute financial, legal, or regulatory advice.
  • No Execution: The platform does not execute orders, exchange assets, issue crypto-assets, or submit reports to regulators.

4. User Responsibilities

The User represents and warrants that:

  • It remains the sole reporting entity before competent authorities (CNMV/EBA/ESMA).
  • It retains full legal responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of reported data.
  • It complies with its own operational resilience obligations under DORA.

5. Use of Public and Third-Party Data

The platform processes public on-chain data and off-chain data provided by the User via read-only APIs. The User is responsible for ensuring lawful data sharing under GDPR.

6. Intellectual Property

BarrelProof Labs retains all rights to its proprietary analytical frameworks, including the MiCA Taxonomy Core (MTC) and reconciliation engines. Users receive a limited licence to use generated outputs solely for regulatory preparation purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

BarrelProof Labs is not liable for:

  • Regulatory decisions taken by competent authorities.
  • Errors resulting from inaccurate or incomplete input data.
  • Administrative sanctions imposed on the User for MiCA non-compliance.

8. No Guarantee of Regulatory Outcomes

A technical readiness score does not ensure compliance nor guarantee regulatory approval. Final determinations rest exclusively with competent authorities.

9. Suspension and Termination

BarrelProof Labs may suspend access if platform usage compromises security protocols or system integrity.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain and the European Union. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain.

Mandatory Risk Warning

Investment in crypto-assets is not regulated and the total amount invested may be lost. BarrelProof Labs provides ICT infrastructure only and does not offer investment services.
